Seeing my mother and grandmother spend their time creating wonderful handmade items has left its mark on me. I have been fascinated with fiber-based hand work since I was a child, both traditional and contemporary.

 

In my 35 years of weaving I have made my home in a variety of locations in the west – the high desert of Northeastern Nevada, Sonoma Valley wine country, California’s central valley, and central Oregon.  In each home I admired the past and present craft and artwork of the people of the area. Each place has a unique feel and tradition.  Their color, texture and pattern captivated me.
